Within the premises of the Polytechnic of Milan, the students can access the Internet, free of charge, through the wireless network of the University.

The active networks at the Como Campus are:

Network "polimi"

It is unprotected. No need to install certificates but only requires the Polimi personal code for authentication or with temporary credentials provided at events. This network is also accessible to guests belonging to IDEM. Recommended for one-time access.

Network "polimi-protected"

It is a protected network. It requires the configuration of your device. Recommended for frequent access the network.

Network "eduroam"

It is a protected network. It allows access to the network by guests from other federated entities. For the Politecnico users will be recommended configuration if they need to go on a visit to other federated entities Eduroam.

Network "PoliCO-Auth"

It is active only at the Heisenberg residence (via Anzani 37). It requires the installation of certificates specific to the type of the used operating system.

Network "PoliCO-Full"

It is active at all the Como Campus buildings. Dedicated to Professors, Researchers and technical/administrative staff of the University.

Cable connection

It is active only at the Sago residence (via Pannilani 25). It requires the installation of certificates specific to the type of the used operating system.
