Room 4.4 (Como Campus - Via Castelnuovo, 7)

Remote Sensing Seminar:
Remote sensing techniques for assessing bio-geophysical parameters of natural surfaces

The two-day seminar presents remote sensing methods and techniques for assessing bio-geophysical parameters describing the status of natural surfaces with a focus on freshwater resources.

Second day (Thu 29 Jan): presentation of the software BEAM, an open-source toolbox and development platform for viewing, analysing and processing of remote sensing data.
After an introduction of the software, the talk will focus on its practical use for assessing water quality in lakes from MERIS images.
