The Google Art Project aims to connect New Technologies to the world cultural heritage. Many prestigious institutions have already been involved to make available in digital format their collections and buildings that are home to a wide audience. By visiting the site you can take a "virtual tour" to major museums around the world appeared, including the Galleria degli Uffizi (Florence), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia (Madrid). These new possibilities (along with the others that Google is preparing Art), will set new standards for the users' expectations regarding the spaces and the possibility of interaction with cultural heritage.

The event was organized with the patronage of the Municipality of Como and is part of the conference AVI 2014 - Advanced Visual Interfaces, organized by the Como Campus and HOC -LAB of Politecnico di Milano . The conference, May 27 to 30 , 2014, in Como will host 150 experts from around the world on the theme of the interaction between humans and technology. The conference is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Como and Telecom Italia and realized with the support of the Centro di Cultura Scientifica A. Volta.
